📝 Plain-English summary
We store the bare minimum: an email and a display name. We never sell your data. We don't show ads. We don't use third-party trackers. Payments go through Stripe; we never see your card details. You can delete your account any time.

What we collect
- Account: name, display name, email, hashed password.
- Gameplay: rooms you've been in, answers, points, coins, items.
- Chat history: messages from game rooms, retained 30 days for moderation.
- Subscription status: Stripe customer ID and current state. Never your card details.
- Technical: last-active timestamp, session info, IP for rate-limiting only.

What we don't collect
- Real names (display names can be anything).
- Date of birth or age.
- Location, GPS, or device identifiers.
- Contact lists, photos, or anything from your device.
- Behavioural or advertising profiles. There are no ads on this site.

Who we share with
Only the service providers we strictly need to make the app work:
- Stripe for subscription billing. They receive your email and payment details directly. We never see the card.
- OpenAI for the AI opponent and answer validation. Only the round's answers are sent. Never your account info.
- Zoho Mail for verification and password-reset emails.

How long we keep it
Account data is kept until you delete your account. Chat messages older than 30 days are automatically removed. Subscription records are kept as long as legally required for tax purposes.

Your rights (UK GDPR)
You have the right to:
- Access a copy of your data. Email us and we'll send a JSON export.
- Correct anything that's wrong. Edit it from Profile, or email us.
- Delete your account. Profile → Settings → Delete Account.
- Object to processing. The game just stores what you play.

Children's privacy
Boy Girl Game is designed for kids aged 6 and up. We collect the absolute minimum needed to make the game work, never serve targeted advertising, and apply a content filter to everything kids type before any other player can see it. If you're a parent with concerns, email no-reply@boy-girl.co.uk and we'll act within 48 hours.
